About

Haak or collard greens is a staple of Kashmiri cuisine. I grew up loving the simplicity of white rice, collard greens and yogurt. Chai or tea is an essential beverage in many asian cultures. Both of them are examples of how food defines our culture and interactions among our family. This blog is my opportunity to share those experiences. Michael Pollan says about cooking “for is there any practice less selfish, any labor less alienated, any time less wasted, than preparing something delicious and nourishing for the people you love?”

Hi, both sheer and mogul chai are part of our culture, so it just depends on what time of day and what snacks you’re having with them.
